ケンブリッジ・アーリーイヤーズ公式ワークショップ参加報告

2025年11月、東京で開催された Cambridge Early Years（ケンブリッジ・アーリーイヤーズ）公式ワークショップに、ひまわり幼稚園の英語講師・ジャッキー先生が参加しました。

Cambridge Early Years は、
「英語を学ぶこと」そのものを目的とするカリキュラムではありません。
遊びを通して、子ども一人ひとりの 心・体・ことば・考える力 をバランスよく育てる、国際的な幼児教育プログラムです。

ひまわり幼稚園では、カリキュラムを導入すること以上に、
教師自身が学び続ける姿勢 を大切にしています。
先生たちが常に学び、成長し続けることが、子どもたちにとってより良い学びの環境につながると考えているからです。

今回の研修で得た知識や視点は、
現在実施している 週2回の英語クラス、アフタースクールクラス、トドラーズクラス
そして 2027年開校予定のプリスクールへと、段階的に反映されていく予定です。

これからもひまわり幼稚園は、教育の質を大切にしながら、
子どもたちの未来につながる学びを積み重ねていきます。

Teacher Training Report

Cambridge Early Years Official Workshop

In November 2025, our English teacher, Ms. Jacquie, attended the official
Cambridge Early Years Workshop held in Tokyo.

Cambridge Early Years is not simply about teaching English.
It is an international early childhood programme that values
play-based, child-centred learning, supporting children’s holistic development —
emotional, physical, social, and cognitive.

At Himawari Kindergarten, we believe that teachers are learners too.
By continuing to learn and grow, we create a richer and more supportive learning environment for our children.

The knowledge and perspectives gained from this training will be gradually reflected in our twice-weekly English classes, after-school classes, and Toddlers classes, as well as in our preschool programme scheduled to open in 2027.

At Himawari Kindergarten, we will continue to value the quality of education and steadily build learning experiences that support our children’s future.
