Before entering kindergarten,
why not experience “kindergarten time” together with your child?
At Himawari Kindergarten, we offer the Toddlers Class,
a parent-and-child program designed for pre-kindergarten children
to attend together with their parents or guardians.
Through this class, children and parents can gradually become familiar
with the kindergarten environment,
taking their first step toward kindergarten life at a gentle and comfortable pace.
At Himawari Kindergarten, we place great importance on English education
as part of our vision to support children who will one day connect with the world.
In the Toddlers Class, children are introduced to the sounds and rhythms of English
through songs, dance, and movement-based activities.
Even letters and the alphabet, which may seem challenging at first,
are transformed into fun and engaging experiences
through game-style activities using a large monitor.
In the Toddlers Class
(“toddler” meaning a child who is just beginning to walk),
children attend kindergarten together with their parents.
The class is held once a week for approximately 1.5 hours,
allowing families to enjoy time at kindergarten at an easy, stress-free pace.
Classes are conducted mostly in English,
with Japanese teachers also present to ensure a safe and reassuring environment.
The class is led by Ms. Jacquie,
who has completed the official Cambridge Early Years training in Tokyo.
With careful attention to each child’s age and developmental stage,
she values every child’s curiosity and desire to try new things.
During the first part of each class,
children have time for free play indoors or in the playground.
This time encourages interaction not only among children,
but also provides a natural opportunity
for parents to connect and build relationships with one another.
From the R8 school year, the Toddlers Class will be offered in two groups:
Families may choose one day per week to attend.
“First, let’s get comfortable with the kindergarten environment.”
With this idea in mind,
the Toddlers Class is designed as a welcoming and relaxed program
that parents and children can enjoy together.
